Robert Smulders has been a lawyer since 1991 and has been an associate lawyer at our firm since 2004. Before that, from 2002, he was deputy judge at the Limburg District Court.

He is involved in procedural law and corporate law, in particular the settlement of business disputes. He also advises companies, the public and semi-public sector, and subsidized institutions with respect to acquisitions, and drawing up and entering into contracts and joint ventures. He also handles inheritance law and commercial matters.

Robert studied private law at Utrecht University and worked as a legal advisor in the Military Legal Corps during his service.

Robert is a member of the Alliance Roermond business club. He is also involved in his community as a board member of the Stichting Bevordering Jeugdwelzijn Roermond, which supports various small-scale educational projects for young people in Roermond. He is also a member of and legal advisor to the board of Stichting Rura, a foundation dedicated to the preservation of monuments in Roermond, including by acquiring or managing listed buildings and publishing an annual Spiegel van Roermond.
